Ek Villain Returns Movie Review: After a long wait, Bollywood star John Abraham has once again reached the theaters with actor Arjun Kapoor for his suspense thriller film Ek Villain Returns. Directed by Mohit Suri, the film stars Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria in the lead roles. The audience had high expectations from this film of Mohit Suri. So has director Mohit Suri once again been able to capture the pulse of the audience just like a villain. Let us know in this review.
What is the story?
The spoiled Amirzada Gautam (Arjun Kapoor) betrays struggler singer RV (Tara Sutaria) to avenge a viral prank. However, after that he falls in love with her. Whereas, Bhairav (John abraham) and Rasika (Disha) enter this story, who turn the story completely upside down.
What’s special?
The life of the film is only and only two dialogues. Which one is spoken by Bhairav’s father (Bharat Dabholkar) and then the same dialogue Bhairav speaks later. Apart from this, there is another scene which comes in the middle of the story and from here it seems that something special is going to happen later.
Where is the lack?
The film has many flaws which bore the audience. Contrary to expectations, the dialogues of this film are quite boring and they seem like a satire. Apart from this, even if there is a twist in the film, then the audience is able to see it from a distance. Also, the biggest drawback is the movie roles. Where a girl is shown using another girl to reach her heart. It seems quite anti-feminist. John Abraham and Arjun Kapoor seem to be busy competing with each other to see who will speak the worst dialogues in the film. The songs of the film also do not fill any enthusiasm.
BL’s decision
In a country where girls get acid attacks just because they turn down a boy’s offer, Mohit Suri’s Ek Villain Returns creates yet another problem in society. The theme of the film is quite anti-woman and director Mohit Suri disappoints badly. Only 1 star from BL for this movie.
